Having a business with no audience is like having a car with no motor – It doesn’t go anywhere.

No matter what business you have, promoting a product, course or business proposition to a group of followers that look up to you, value your expert advice and service is a lot easier than someone who has no idea who you are.

This is why warm market marketing is a lot easier than cold market marketing.

Traditional belly to belly marketing works and still works however, if you don’t have a large group of family and friends like me, building your business can be quite difficult.

Just image you had 1000 targeted people that follow everything you do and bought everything you promoted – because they know, like and trust you. How would your business look?

This is where the internet comes into play.

You can build up an audience using various social media platforms available and get your message out to thousands of people within a split second.

  1. Build Up Your Targeted Audience

People from all across the globe are searching for a solution to help aid their pain every day – and they are using the internet to find their solution.

You have people who are looking for information that will help them lose weight or build lean muscle mass.

You’ve also got people who are looking for ways to build a business online or make more money using the internet.

And you’ve also got people looking for a way to sell their homes or buy homes.

So build up an audience by positioning yourself as a person that specialises a particular niche.

Amplify your audience by providing value so that they know like and trust you, step 2 is what you must do.

  1. Provide Value To Your Audience

If you provide valuable content to your targeted audience helping them solve their pain will not only get you an engaging audience but an audience that will share your content to their family and friends.

People love content, stories and knowledge. By providing tips and strategies on a consistent basis that helps them solve their problem will entice them to come back for more.

You valued information will position yourself as a leader – a go to person which will attract them to do business with you.

  1. Open The Door For New Team Mates

Once you have built up a raving group of followers that love the value that you provide.

The ability to promote to them courses, affiliate programs or even business ventures will be a lot easier than pitching to a group of people who don’t know who you are.

Letting people know that you are taking on more coaching clients or team mates will also be a lot easier as they’ve been valuing your expert advice.

People are more incline to listen to you.  Quite often people will reach out to you and ask to join your business – all because your content has helped them.

Like I said in step 1, belly to belly marketing works but can be very draining, daunting and hard – and if you’re an introvert, belly to belly marketing can be quite challenging.

The benefit with leveraging the internet and building your audience online is that you’re not restricted to the people within your network.

And you don’t need to chase people who aren’t interested in what you have to offer.

You become the authority where people chase you – you become the hunted, not the hunter.
