Have you ever asked yourself whether or not you need to blog for your business?

If you’re still asking yourself that question, then make sure you watch the video below.

This Is How You Generate Targeted Leads And Sign Up More People Into Your Business

Why Blog For Your Business?

Every business is out there to make money – whether it’s online or offline.

There are many ways to market your business, but the question is – why choose blogging over other strategies?

When I mean other marketing strategies, I mean Pay Per Click (PPC), Email Marketing (Solo Ads) and social media marketing.

Now before I jump the gun and tell you why I recommend blogging over other marketing strategies. The first question I want to ask you is.

Before someone buys anything what do they do? They do research right? They Google it!

One reason why you should blog is that it allows you to intercept traffic locally by sharing valuable content that solves people’s problems.

This is why blogging is important. The Businesses with blogs that provides value to their target audience are the ones that make the most money.

I will also share with you some of the benefits of having your own blog in just a sec.

If your business requires people to buy your products and services, you are going to have to provide them with some form of value FIRST before they will even whip out their credit card and purchase from you.

Would you buy from someone that you don’t know, like or trust? If you answered NO, what makes you think others don’t as well.

Whether your business is online or offline, your prospects will only buy from those that they know, like and trust – period.

This is why it is so important that you provide value to your prospects that solves their problems through the form of blog posts.

I bet you’re thinking well what should my blogs be about? Well first of all, you will want to know what people are searching for online first.

The best way to do that is to use a FREE tool called the Google Keyword Planner Tool to search for what people are looking for and create content that solves peoples problems around the keywords that people are searching for.

It’s that easy really!

Now you know what you blog about, how are you marketing your business?

Are you marketing your business online or offline?

If you’re marketing offline – let me ask you this question.

Do you plan knocking on people’s door, cold calling or walking the streets doing cold market prospecting for the rest of your life?

If the answer is no, then this is why you need to blog for business.

Now there is nothing wrong with doing any of the above marketing strategies.

As a matter of fact, I would recommend that you do all of the above lead generation strategies if you’re new to your business – at least one, if not all.

By doing so you will have a better understanding of your target market!

You will definitely fail very fast but, you will learn a lot from your mistakes very fast.

The benefits of active prospecting is that you can control how much money you can make based on the amount of people you talk to – unlike passive marketing, which takes time.

However, if you’re anything like me, you do not want to be doing active prospecting forever.

The solution to this is to blog.

The benefits of blogging for business

You’re probably wondering how do blogs help businesses?

  1. Well, it creates leverage. You create the content once on your online real estate (blog) and it literally sticks on the internet forever – unlike social media where you don’t own it.

If your YouTube account was to get shut down tomorrow, you lose all your content, all your rankings and all the leads that you’ve been generating on a daily basis, will stop – I’ve seen it happen before.

The only way your content on your blog can disappear is if you physically delete the blog post or stop paying for your hosting and domain fees.

  1. Another benefit is that you intercept the people that are looking for your products or services.

In order to do that, you provide value to your prospects where your competitors aren’t – which in turn makes you the authority and go to person.

My mentor Ray Higdon has been able to generate over 1 million dollars from his blog alone. Just from sharing valuable content to his audience – content that solves people’s problems.

He’s been able to make over a million dollars through coaching, affiliate marketing, selling his own products and in the network marketing space.

I guess you could say he is someone that knows how to make money through multiple streams.

Now, there are many ways for you to market your business online. Buying an email list is one option.

You can buy an email list that has people on it who have bought a coaching product before and you can market to them.

OR

You could buy an opportunity email list where people have signed up looking for business opportunities.

It all depends on your niche and your target market.

But here is the deal with emails.

  1. Unless you have rapport, most people won’t open your emails.
  2. Nobody opens up a 2 or 3 year old email and buys something from it – have you?

However, they do with blogs – this is why blogging is so important.

Ray Higdon gets leads and sales from blog post that he wrote 5 years ago.

He gets affiliate commission cheques from things that he hasn’t even promoted in years.

But it is somewhere on a blog post that he has forgotten about – and he gets cheques every single day from these old blog posts… how cool is that!

Imagine you had 100 blog post out there that provides so much value to your audience and pays you everyday – residual.

Now do you see why you should blog for your business – no matter what business you have!

Now let’s compare this with Pay Per Click/Paid Advertising.

Pay advertising is great but you need to understand 2 keys points about paid advertising.

  1. If you’re considering paid advertising, you need to understand the point of advertising. The point of advertising is not to spend less… it is to create the ability to spend more. It means you create something profitable. If you spend $1 and you get $1.50 back how many $1.50 do you want to make?  Hopefully all of them right?
  1. Once you stop paying, the ad goes away. There is no ad that sits out there where they forget to turn it off because you stopped paying. They are very quick with turning off your ad.

Not with blogs – they stay on the web forever!

This is why blogging is important,  you can re-link some of your old content and have it look to Google almost like it’s new.

Do you see now why blogging is so important and the benefits of blogging for business?

Not only is blogging is FREE – other than paying for your domain name and hosting, it stays on the internet forever!
